I was born in the beautiful valley of Turrialba, Costa Rica. Growing up, I was privileged to be part of a large loving family and surrounded by an amazing amount of wildlife.

Next to my bedroom there was a Bottle Brush Tree with hummingbirds always buzzing around. Oh, how I wanted to grab one and hold it and pet it for a while! However, my mom frowned at this idea, plus, they were too fast and hard to catch because I did try! At that moment, I never dreamed that years later I could hold wild hummingbirds in my hand, without having to catch them first.

I studied to become an English teacher, however, I was introduced to the world of birding by the year 2003 and liked it a lot more.

In 2007 I led my first birding tour in Costa Rica. Since then I have led and organized tours in many different parts of the world, including Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, Bhutan, and India.

In 2018 I became the first woman in Costa Rica to reach 800 birds seen in the country.
I aim to always make sure that my clients go back home with a great list of birds, top-notch photos, and unforgettable memories!

Let’s rock the world of birdwatching and photography together!
